Oh yeeah, life is pretty good at the moment. Early starts, sore feet, and I’m super tired. But I’m enjoying myself, and that’s the main thing yeah?
So it’s calving season right now (Actually it started on the 22nd of July I think…) and it’s not as busy as I thought it would be. I think the most calves we’ve got in one day was around 25? I’m not sure. But it’s not as much as I thought. I’ve been learning quite a lot, how to pick calves up, how to tag their ears (although I don’t like doing that… it looks rather painfull..) and that some calves have to be donged on the head. I haven’t donged one yet, and I really hope I don’t have to, because as a girl, I know I’ll get emotional. I haven’t even watched it been done yet, and I tend to cover my ears, although I can still hear the *bang* of what ever is hitting it’s head. Morbid stuff eh? Read the rest of this entry »
